Member, Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., a Service Sorority Founded in 1913
I pledged Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., a Public Service Sorority at the Mighty Tau Chapter, Midwest Region, when I was an undergraduate at Wayne State University in Detroit, a lot of years ago. Since then I have been active with Lansing (Michigan) Alumna Chapter. My sorors continue to astound me with how much we can accomplish together.
This is a favorite photo. I was 1986 Lansing Alumnae Chapter (LAC) Founders Day chairperson pleased to welcome 18th National President Hortense G. Canady to Michigan State University Kellogg Center. Soror Past President Canady was a founder of LAC.
Me with my sister, The Honorable Paula G. Humphries, Judge of the 36th District Court, Detroit, on our Everglades vacation.
I portrayed 10th National President Dorothy I. Height (b.1912 - d. 2010). Dr. Height was also president of the National Council of Negro Women.
